Sumatra Aceh Kopsen Sepakat Gergung

The Aceh region is from the northern part of the island near Lake Toba and is much scarcer than the prevalent Mandheling. Takengon is a village in Aceh by Lake Toba, and the coffee was grown by a fair trade organic co-op known as Kopsen Sepakat Gergung. Coffee is the primary source of income for the farmers in the co-op. 

It has a smooth, full bodied, dark sweet chocolate flavor with hints of mint, tobacco and licroice. Satisfying and lingering aftertaste that keeps you going back for another mug. It's not nearly as "earthy" or "foresty" as classic Sumatra. Instead, the aftertaste is of chocolate and mint.
