A lot of strawberry food products taste artificial, and that ruins the whole experience. This is unmistakable ripe fresh wild strawberries -- juicy, sweet, and refreshing. It is really just recommended as an iced tea, but we have enjoyed it as a hot tea, especially if you blend in in some black or green tea with it.

Ingredients: Strawberry, Hibiscus, Rose Hips, Apple, Natural Flavor.

Tasting Notes: Wild strawberries right off the vine

Steep: 4 tsp of tea for every 12oz water. Water temperature: 205. Add 1 Tbsp of sugar for every 12 ounce of water. Steep time 5 minutes. Refrigerate. Pour over ice and enjoy.

Hot: 2 tsp of tea for 8oz water. Water temperature 205. Steep for 3 minutes. Sweetener recommended.

Approximately 7 Tbsp in a 1 ounce package.

The comment I get from anyone that tries this for the first time is that it doesn t taste like tea. Then they rave about just how good it is! I agree, it s not your mama s sweet tea, it s diffent! This tea is perfect cold brewed and chilled, then poured and sipped on a hot summer s day on the front porch. This tea is Redneck approved!

I m assuming the reason the strawberry doesn t come out very much in this blend is because it s only the third ingredient after apple and hibiscus (the latter of which is a much stronger flavor), and it s very disappointing because finding a good strawberry tea has proven to be a challenge for me. The overall flavor of the tea is also very light, even when I reduced the water to 170 mL instead of the recommended 230 mL (I used two heaping teaspoons both times, which is around 5g). The upside is that there is no bitterness whatsoever even if you oversteep it, but honestly, it s overall a disappointing blend for someone who actually wants to taste the strawberry.

This is an outstanding herbal mix - the strawberry is just a bit tart and the apple is there if you look for it and otherwise sweetens the blend. The hibiscus and rose add a nice floral note to round it out. I did a "cold brew" version with about a Tablespoon (though that could probably be reduced a bit) per cup of water and let it steep in the fridge overnight and it s amazing. I will definitely keep this on hand all summer
