These cakes were harvested in early Spring of 2023 in China's Yunnan Province 5,200 feet on Yingpan Mountain in Simao, which is the historical origin of the ancient tea horse road.

While this tea is good to drink now, it may also be advisable to store it and let it age a little while longer as Pu-erhs are known for getting better with age. When stored, make sure to place the cake in an area devoid of light, heat, and moisture.

If you do choose to drink it immediately, make sure to rinse the tea for at least 10 seconds first. Multiple steepings will bring out more complexities and flavor.

Elephants thrive near where the tea is grown, hence the beautiful elephant on the front of this cake. It could make a great gift, or be a tea consumed during special occasions.

Pu-erh Cake -- Tasting Notes: Soft and flowery.

Steep: 5-8g for 12oz water. Water temperature: 205. Steep time 3-5 minutes per steeping.
