When I had a sore throat or didn't feel well, my parents used put some lemon juice and honey into hot water as I'd drink it as a tea, and it was incredibly comforting. We wanted to come up with a similar concoction, and this tea hits all the notes, and is good enough you can even drink it when you're feeling well!
This is mostly a mild, buttery oolong tea, with a hint of savory basil and freeze dried lemon juice. Add your own honey if you feel so inclined, but it's very good the way it is.
Ingredients: Oolong Tea, Basil, Freeze-dried Lemon (lemon juice, maltodextrin, sodium alginate), Calendula Petals, Natural Flavor
Tasting Notes: sweet and savory and tart contrasting each other. Heavy on the lemon juice with basil in the background.
Steep: 1 Tbsp of tea for 10-12 oz water. Water temperature: 195. Steep time: 4 Minutes
Sweetener: Optional
Approximately 6 Tbsp in a 1 ounce package.
