This coffee is grown on the Las Moras farm within the La Paz Region of Honduras. The farm is named for the delicious blackberries grown in the region and is owned and operated by a thirds generation coffee farmer named Heber.
Because they dried it under the sun, the coffee is far different and far more special than a typical Honduras coffee. What has happened here is the coffee has begun to pick up sweet fruity and savory tastes of rose, lavender, candied tomato, strawberry, molasses and chocolate. The aftertaste is clean with no earthiness or defects.
This is a versatile coffee, enjoyable by any brew method including espresso, but as coffee it's approachable and sweet and easy to mindless sip on. As espresso it's full of crema and a bit tart, really waking you up.
