For those of you who are concerned about the use of chemicals in the decaf process, Mountain Water Process Honduras is an economical, crowd-pleasing choice. It’s sweet and flavorful and can pass for a non-decaf coffee. It is certified organic, certified fair trade.

A nice clean sweet Central American coffee full of flavor, Decaf coffee is typically best when roasted dark. It is not particularly interesting or complex, but it is a sweet, full-flavored decaf. I roast it anywhere from 30 seconds before the 2nd cracks begin up into the 2nd cracks, but you can optionally take it darker. It doesn't have that "decaf" taste, which makes it easier to drink than most!

I take it a little past the end of first crack (up to ~218C on my roaster) and get lemon and raisin notes. It s pretty good in French press and pour over. It is really good as espresso. It keeps the lemon and raisin, but adds a nuttiness and thicker body. It s not my favorite decaf, but it is my second favorite decaf. Yum!

I bought this to roast for my grandma and she absolutely loves it! She said it is by far the best decaf she’s ever had! I roast it a nice standard medium just seconds before second cracks in my behmor and it has been well received I’ll be roasting it for my other grandma as well!

The more I drink this stuff the more I like it. I throw a lot of heat and air at it and take it to the first several pops of 2nd crack and it s just a great "coffee" coffee. It s good black and my wife enjoys it with creme and sugar. On its own its roasty and creamy with no bitterness. It ll leave you palate slick. I drink it as a decaf offering at night but I m not afraid to go for it in the morning when I m out of everything else.

I ve never been a fan of decaf due to the taste, but I ll say this is the least decaf tasting coffee I ve roasted. It s nothing exciting as stated in the description, but it actually tastes good. My wife enjoys it for her afternoon latte.

This is my favorite decaf coffee. If you keep on the medium side there is a little brightness on the top end, and darker roasts get a great low acidity roast.
