Colombia Narino Buesaco

This is a microlot Colombia from the Narino region in the microregion of Buesaco. This is a washed process, single varietal called Caturra. We are roasting it lighter than our traditional Colombia beans because it has excellent complexity and acidity to show off.

It starts out with citrus. A puckery stone fruit black plum sort of taste. Then cranberry. Tingling acidity, but still easy to sip on. Ends with a sweetness, a caramel/brown sugar taste left in your mouth. 

In a blind tasting I would guess this to be a Honduras or Costa Rica coffee. The complexity, clean notes, and fruity flavor are really exciting to find in a Colombia bean.
