There are "light" and "dark" oolongs, and this is a "dark" oolong in the taiwan style known as "Formosa" which is a sweet, smooth tasting tea with large twisted leaves.
However, it is the addition of toffee and caramel to this tea that steals the show. The first thing you notice is the unmistakable caramel aroma. The candy-like aroma is invigorating and inviting and sets the mood. Upon tasting, the toastiness of the oolong teas along with the sweetness of caramel creates a taste that reminds me of buttercream icing. You could enjoy for dessert, but it is not so sweet that you couldn't enjoy it for breakfast as well.
