Apricot Mate

We've blended Yerba Mate with apricots and other fruits to mask the flavor of the mate and create a delicious tea that will give you that alertness from the mate. We've had a handful of mate varieties and blends over the years, and this is my very favorite one yet.

Yerba Mate (er-ba, mah-tay) is the leaf of an herb grown in South America. It contains mateine which is a compound similar to caffeine and will provide your body with alertness and energy, although mateine often does not have the negative side effects that are felt by those who are sensitive to caffeine. Many insist that mateine does not effect the ability to fall asleep.

Ingredients: Yerba Mate, Apricot, Apple Pieces, Orange Peel, Hibiscus, Rosehips, Orange & Apple Natural Flavoring

Tasting Notes: Apricots, Citrus, slightly sweet

Steep: 2 tsp of tea for every 12oz water. Water temperature: 180-200. Sweetener optional. Steep time: 3-4 min. If re-steeping, start with 2 minutes but each time you re-steep the leaves give it a little more time.

Approximately 16 tsp in a 1 ounce package.
