Phoenix Oolong

Oolongs aren't oxidized enough to be called black tea, but they are too far oxidized to be called a green tea. This is a "Dark Oolong" -- closer to a Black Tea. Named after the Phoenix Mountain in the Fujian Province where it grows, this roasted oolong is rare and sought after for its floral aroma and honey sweetness. You might pick up hints of caramel, kumquat, and toast. The leaves are long, twisted, and uncut.

Do not add sweetener to this tea, it will flatten out the flavor and make it ordinary.

Mi Lan Xiang Tasting Notes: Kumquat, Honey, Orchids, Mineral, Toffee

Steep: 1 Tbsp of tea for 8-10 oz water. Water temperature: 185. Steep time 3 minutes or up to 30 minutes. The tea leaves are good for 3 or 4 steepings -- when your mug is empty, reuse the tea leaves to brew some more!

Sweetener: Not recommended
