Chocolate Nut Mate

We've blended toasted Yerba Mate with black tea, chocolate, and allergen-free hazelnut flavoring to create a delicious tea that will give you that alertness from the mate. Toasted mate has a nutty taste to it, which makes it the perfect companion to chocolate.

Yerba Mate (er-ba, mah-tay) is the leaf of an herb grown in South America. It contains mateine which is a compound similar to caffeine and will provide your body with alertness and energy, although mateine often does not have the negative side effects that are felt by those who are sensitive to caffeine. Many insist that mateine does not effect the ability to fall asleep.

Ingredients: Yerba Mate, Chinese Black Tea, Cocoa Nibs, Cocoa Husks, Natural Flavoring, Marigold Flowers

Tasting Notes: chocolate covered hazelnuts

Steep: 1 Tbsp of tea for every 12oz water. Water temperature: 200. Sweetener optional. Steep time: 4 min.
