Rwanda has been growing specialty tea for awhile, but this is by far the nicest lot we've ever seen out of Rwanda. It is a satisfying and balanced black tea, in the sense that it is not overly delicate, but not overly hearty. It is rich and luxuriant, no astringency, with a brown sugar undertone.
It so smooth, so lovely in the mouth, tastes of sugar and pine entertaining your tastebuds, a clean sweet aftertaste reminding you of what a great tea you just drank.
If this tea was grown in India or China where it had a reputation for fineness, it would cost twice as much!
Tasting Notes: smooth, rich, sugar, hint of floral
