This Kenya comes from the Kirinyaga region which is one of the first places we look for good coffee.
This coffee is sweet, mouth watering, tropical, and memorable. My favorite moment was as we were sampling it I was trying to recognize the taste and I said, "Guava?" and then I looked at the importers tasting notes and they had Guava as their tasting note too, and I thought WOW, what an unusual flavor to match on. Lime, grapefruit, a little bit winey, a little bit blackberry. It has our favorite SL-28 and SL-34 varietals as well as Ruiru 11, and the complexity and aroma and body do not disappoint. The acidity is a little less than with most Kenya coffees, but I don't hold that against it. The flavors change as the temperature of the coffee changes, and it sweetens up as it cools.
