From the Fuji province of China comes this black tea which is a cultivar that was developed 20 years ago, but is only just now being grown commercially. This lot of "Golden Buddha" cultivar has been processed by hand and grown under perfect growing conditions.
It is fragrant, almost black licorice, malty, slightly sweet of honey, good for multiple steepings with no bitterness or astringency. It seems forgiving to steep, even when you don't have the right water temperature or quantity, it turns out nice.
Tasting Notes: Good body, licorice, malt, spicy
Steep: 1 Tbsp of tea for 12oz water. Water temperature: 205. Steep time 3 minutes. Sweetener: None
