The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean Island, sharing half their island with Haiti, and is right next to Puerto Rico on the other side. They have both the altitude and climate for growing great coffee, but their coffee doesn't get much attention in the United States.
This one is a microlot all by one coffee producer, and while it's not particularly complex, it is very lovely. It has a traditional coffee taste with creamy body, really flavorful, lingering aftertaste, smooth, no defects. Slight hints of red fruit, but it isn't really there. Extremely enjoyable though, easily drinkable, every day coffee.Domican Republic Arroyo Bonito Hipolito Abreu: Toffee, Honey, Creamy, Aromatic
