Colombia Perla De Inza

This is a microlot Colombia from one of my favorite regions, known as Cauca. An area within Cauca is known as Inza. Inza is surrounded by volcanoes, and the climate and soil of this region make it perfect for growing specialty coffee. Eighty small producers farm their own land and hold on to their traditions. They banded together to get Organic certification.

Colombia coffees aren't known for complexity or wild flavors. It's still just a Colombia, but it's a more interesting one than most. Beneath the traditional coffee flavor are subtle notes of apple pie, citrus, and a sweet pleasant caramel aftertaste.
