It wasn't even legal to export natural sundried coffee out of Burundi until a couple years ago. So this always feels fun to crack open a bag of sundried Burundi.
Super aromatic, you grind it and know it's a natural process. It is fruity and a little bit tart. Very juicy, very fruity (cherry, plum), chocolate, hints of sweet potato and brown sugar, clean. In a french press we are getting a little earthy/fermented notes -- not terribly distracting, but technically a defect, so we've been recommending this one in pourovers and drip brew where it tastes clean and crisp.
The coffee was processed at the Kibingo processing mill and was grown in the province of Kayanza.
