This Costa Rican is the first arrival of a Sundried Natural process coffee of the year from Central America. Drying under the sun allowed extra flavor to go into the bean, creating undertones of plum, stonefruit, hibiscus and guava. The mouthwatering tart inital plum flavor quickly turns into a sweet jolly rancher candy sweetness and ends tasting clean making you want another sip. It is most common to find sundried coffees from Ethiopia, but when farmers in other countries take the time and labor to re-create this process, the results can be just as successful. This coffee is from a Costa Rican coffee tasting in New York City last month, we tried tons of really fun coffees but this one really stood out. Emmett loved it, bought it on site and the coffee was sold out before even reaching the port.
