Dark and smooth -- like a conman. You look at him across the table -- you know he is bluffing, but he is so interesting, so convincing that you let him keep telling his story. Myanmar (Burma) is a country in Southeast Asia between India and Vietnam. Not much specialty coffee comes out of Asia, but this bean surprised us. The complexity and smoothness of this bold coffee takes you on a journey from herbal (root beer?) to metallic (copper?) to chocolate, honey, vanilla bean. Not too earthy, and no acidity. Deal the cards...this coffee deserves a seat at the table.
