This washed process Honduras coffee was one of 30 microlots that came in at the same time. Two of us went to the cupping and tried all 30 coffees, and picked this one out as the very best arrival on the cupping table. There were only 15 bags of this coffee produced, and it sold out immediately as several different attendees wanted it. We only were able to get two bags.
This is from the Fair Trade Organic COMSA co-op in Honduras, and is the harvest of one particular farm and farmer. We roast it light, accentuating the tart juicy plum and lemon taste that sweetens into grape. This coffee is a testament to what a difference it makes when the farmer pays attention to quality.
Tasting Notes: Fruity aroma, Tart Plum, Lemon, Concord Grape, Clean Aftertaste
