Sumatra Boru Batak
Warning: Last items in stock!
Formerly known as Sumatra Iskandar, this premium Sumatran coffee has been overseen by La Minita, and they meticulously sort out the very best and biggest beans of the crop (screensize 17/18+) and sell it under the Boru Batak (buh-talk) brand name. Only a handful of bags are available for sale each year, and it sells out within a couple of days. The coffee is washed instead of wet-hulled, which means it doesn't have any of the earthy or musty or tobacco characteristics, and instead has acidity and fruityness and complexity but still has a thick mouthfeel.
Unless you have had a premium Sumatra before, you will not recognize this coffee as being Indonesian. It is a light to medium roast, with potent aroma, cedar, grapefruit acidity, thick mouthfeel, a clean aftertaste, and an overall sweetness. As you drink this, think about how it satisfies every one of your senses.
