Turmeric is the trendy spice of 2017. The ground up root has been linked to several physical and mental improvements which has recently attracted the attention of a lot of people. But we just like the way it tastes! We blend the turmeric with orange peel, hibiscus, vanilla, and rooibos to create this slightly tart, tangy, refreshing caffeine-free tea blend.
It is nice to drink both hot and iced. We recently served it hot at a brunch and iced at an outdoor festival, and we got raving complements on it both times. The turmeric and hibiscus combine to make a VERY bright colored tea. Be careful not to spill the steeped tea as it could potentially stain fabrics or carpets. It's a bit tart on its own, and I do prefer it with some sweetener.
Ingredients: Hibiscus, Rooibos, Turmeric, Orange Peel, Rosehips, Cornflowers, Natural Flavor.
Tasting Notes: Tangy and fruity
Hot: 2 tsp of tea for 8oz water. Water temperature 205. Steep for 3 minutes. Sweetener recommended.
Iced: @ Tbsp of tea for every 16oz water. Water temperature: 205. Add 1 Tbsp of sugar for every 16 ounce of water. Steep time 5 minutes. Refrigerate. Pour over ice and enjoy.
*Note: Orange Peel has a tendency to become bitter after 10 minutes of steeping, so it is important to separate the tea from the water after a reasonable amount of time.*
Approximately 15 tsp in a 1 ounce package.
